FAIL.That pretty much sums what happened today. But seeing as that would seem idiotic to just blog "FAIL", I suppose we can make a three-paragraph story about it... My day started out WET, yes WET. Because it was raining sabertooth tigers and mountain hounds so early in the morning. My mom came along with me, so seeing as she exudes sosyal too much, I suggested we take a cab from home to UP, which we did - just to be on the safe side. When I got there, which was 7 am in the morning... *fast forward, fast forward*8:45-ish when they started getting the IDs for the usual process of distributing the Form 5as. They announced half an hour after - after scrambling the order of the IDs - that they will distribute around 10 am. Yes... 10 am. 10 came and they started giving away the 5as one by one... and at some point they decide, *Hey, why don't we line up the EE's first?* So the had them lined up, and after that all of the 5as come in the room. And what they do is they give it to the students... one by one... ALPHA-freakin-BETICALLY. How unfair is it that those people who arrive at God-Knows-What time and they get their 5as before me... I remember a quote my friend once told me... "Trust in the system." And I said... ... "Yeah right."After that mess in the VLC, I went straight upstairs, to enlist in the subject that was the only one left possible for me... and at least... thank God, I got it... I kept texting Mael if we're still good for lunch but apparently, I got stood up... LOL. Me and a few friends go to Melchor Hall, up the stairs, towards the ES department, to find 10 short bond papers labeled ES 12 (enter section here) - plus time and days. Only 3 out of the 10 were applicable for me. Apparently, they planned to make this drawing of lots, a little... *even though I totally disagree*... systematic. They said the papers will be claimed at 4:30. So off we go, just burning away the remaing (4++) hours, in the VLC, and as we got drenched here and there (my pants actually went from dry to wet to dry three times over) we arrive at the 3rd floor at 4-ish. Hours pass when they release the results only for us to find that the schedule we all wanted only accepted ONE student. Talk about wasting our time. Flustered and frustrated, I go off to Trinoma to meet up with my mom who's been waiting for hours - because of my fault which I have to make up for. I don't actually want to share how messy going home was. But after getting home, I realized I haven't been this exhausted for a while now. Then again, there's one saving grace for today, to be relayed by a simple quote in my native tongue... "Di ka mahuhuling tumitingin sa kanya, kung di siya tumitingin sayo." Adios. ...I've decided to TRY, again, TRY to use my LJ acct. Again, for the nth time, TRY. Today is my birthday! Well, at least the rest of today... LOL. I had fun actually. Although it's a shame someone specific didn't (I would assume deliberately) greet me, for reasons I will not share on the web. It's a shame, but I guess we can't do anything about it now can we? Feel free to ask when we're talking in person, but otherwise, don't bother. And no one say PLEASE? Thank you.I didn't get gifts actually, well, money, I guess, would count. But anything other than that is a NO. I got stuffed, which is funny, considering I've been watching my weight. Then again, it's only once a year that I get to stuff my face as much as I want. Earlier this afternoon I had a 2-on-2 basketball game with my cousin's, and surprisingly, (although we lost) I've noticed my "play-making" skills have improved. I've made better decisions on the court, and I've made better passes, including the ones with delays and mid-air stops. My uncle from Oregon called me up to greet me, and surprisingly asked me tons of questions about sizes and whatnots. So most likely, in the coming days I'd be receiving a full wardrobe package including: 1. A Jacket (hopefully not the ones you can't use in the tropics)2. Shirts (not sure how many, hence the 's') 3. Pants/Slacks (3, I think) 4. Belts (I didn't get a number on this) 5. Shoes (2 pairs I think) 6. and a Back-pack of my choice (which was of course Jansport)Well, that's about it for June 1. School's just around the corner, so I'll hope to see you guys soon!
